What Are Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)?

Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) refer to a specific group of three essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine.

These amino acids are termed "branched-chain" due to their unique chemical structure, which includes a side chain that branches off.

BCAAs play a vital role in muscle growth and repair, as they are directly involved in protein synthesis within the muscles.

Unlike other amino acids, BCAAs can be used as an immediate source of energy by muscles. Some athletes and fitness enthusiasts supplement with BCAAs to enhance muscle recovery, reduce fatigue, and improve exercise performance.

You can also find BCAAs in protein-rich foods such as meat, dairy, eggs, and of course, Roam Protein (22 grams total plant-based protein per serve, including approx. 4 grams of BCAAs).
