Roam Protein: Just 5 Ingredients
Roam Protein is not just another plant protein supplement on the market. We pride ourselves on a simple, 5-ingredient formula that tastes great and achieves the outcome you are looking for - without a lengthy and unnecessarily complex ingredient list.
We believe that less is more. When formulating Roam Protein, we had to hit some key “must-haves”:
- Use the best ingredients, in the right quantities
- Provide over 20 grams of protein per serve
- Taste great!
- Be accessible for everyday use and athletes that compete under World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules - that is why Roam Protein is HASTA Certified.

1. Pea Protein Isolate
Roam's Pea Protein Isolate is the star of the show, providing over 22 grams of protein per serve. The benefit of pea protein isolate comes not just in its quantity or dose, but also its quality:
- High Protein Content: Ideal for muscle growth and repair.
- Plant-Based: A perfect option for vegans and vegetarians.
- Rich in Amino Acids: Contains all nine essential amino
acids.- Easily Digestible: Gentle on the stomach.
We use golden pea protein made from yellow split peas grown in Canada. We use a pea protein isolate, which has a higher amount of protein than regular pea protein.

2. Cocoa (in chocolate protein)
You can't recreate the full chocolate experience with artificial flavours. Cocoa gives Roam's Chocolate Protein its guilt-free chocolatey notes. Cocoa enhances taste without the additional of any artificial additives and contains antioxidant properties such as flavonoids.

2. Coconut MCTs (in Vanilla Protein)
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) are just one type of fat usually found in coconut. Your regular milk and butter also contain MCTs but a smaller percentage.
MCT has numerous health benefits (namely, cardiovascular and metabolic health) and is used by athletes as a source of exercise energy. This is because MCTs are broken down and digested rapidly compared to other fat forms and provide instant energy during exercise.
We add a small amount of MCT to Roam Protein because of the health benefits it can bring and because it makes the texture of our protein smoother and creamier.

3. Monk fruit extract
Monk fruit is Roam's chosen sweetener, a natural alternative that sets it apart from other sweeteners like Stevia and Xylitol.
The sweetness of monk fruit comes from unique antioxidants called mogrosides, which are separated from the fresh-pressed juice during processing. As a result, monk fruit sweetener does not contain fructose or glucose, making it a great sugar substitute.
At Roam, we chose to use monk fruit extract in our protein powder for several reasons:
- Superior Taste: Compared to other natural sweeteners like stevia and xylitol, monk fruit extract has a superior taste. It's sweet but not overly so, making our protein powder palatable without causing you to crave more sweet foods.
- Zero-Calorie Sweetness: Monk fruit extract is 100–250 times sweeter than sugar but contains zero calories. This makes it an excellent choice for those looking to reduce their calorie intake without sacrificing taste.
- Potential Health Benefits: Preliminary research suggests that the mogrosides in monk fruit extract have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. While more research is needed, these potential health benefits are a bonus.

4. Natural Flavours
We use high quality, all natural flavours - a natural chocolate flavour and a natural vanilla flavour in Roam Protein to ensure that you enjoy every sip without any synthetic aftertaste.

5. Guar Gum
Guar gum is a natural thickening agent derived from guar beans.
We use guar gum in small, carefully measured quantities to ensure a smooth (not chalky!) consistency.Natural Origin: Derived from guar beans, guar gum is a plant-based ingredient, not a synthetic additive. It's been used in traditional cooking for centuries.
Enhancing Texture: Rather than acting as an artificial thickener, guar gum helps Roam Protein achieve a smooth and pleasing consistency.
Gluten-Free: For those with gluten sensitivities or following a gluten-free diet, guar gum is a safe and suitable choice.
Low-Calorie: Guar gum enhances the texture without adding significant calories.
